Banana Bread Wheel
Banana bread wheel is a simple tea time snack prepared with banana ,Grated coconut and bread.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- Bread 3 slice
- Banana 1 big
- Sugar 1 tblsp
- Ghee 1 tsp+2 tbsp
- Coconut 1/2 cup
- 1/4 tsp Cardamom
Preparation
Step 1
Gather and prep all your ingredients before you begin.
Step 2
Sweet cook the banana for 5 minutes.
Step 3
Pulse bread slices,grated coconut, cardamom powder and sugar in a mixie without adding water.
Step 4
In a large mixing bowl, and add steamed banana and bread mix.
Step 5
Add 1 tsp ghee and knead it well.
Step 6
Pinch ball out of it and shape it into a thin elongated log/pipe.
Step 7
Wind it in spiral shape and gently press the ends towards the previous layer.repeat for the rest of the mix.
Step 8
Heat a tawa and brush some ghee on it.pan-fry it on low heat until golden brown.
Step 9
Bread banana wheel is ready!
Tip
Coconut oil is the default cooking fat in Kerala kitchens. It adds a depth of flavour that other oils simply cannot match in these recipes.
